NCERT under the guidance of Education Ministry has developed the alternative academic calendars for students , parents and teachers of primary and upper primary stages with an aim to engage students meaningfully during their stay at home due to COVID-19.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Pokhriyal said that the calendar will empower students, teachers, school principals and parents to find out positive ways to deal with Covid-19 using on-line teaching-learning resources.
He said, it will also improve the learning outcomes in the light of imparting school education at home.
The Minister added that the calendar at upper primary stage for Classes 6 to 8 was earlier released for four weeks.
Now the calendar for next eight weeks has also been released.
He further said that the Calendar provides guidelines to teachers on the use of various technological tools and social media tools available for imparting education in fun-filled and interesting ways.
