Awantipora, Sept 21: Abdul Ahad Wagay from Panzgam, Pulwama today staged a protest in press colony demanding stern punishment for the killers of his son.
“My son Aqib Wagay, who was a policeman, was beaten to death at railway station Malangpora, Pulwama where he was posted as railway guard on May 29, 2018” he said.
He added that his son received a phone call and taken one kilometre away where he was ruthlessly and he succumbed to injuries after one month at SKIMS hospital, Soura.
He also alleged that the police already know that who had beaten his son but they are yet to arrest them.
He blamed nexus between the killers and the police.
He blamed police for indifferent approach towards investigation of this case and blamed reader of DSP headquarters G. Mohammad for beating him. Despite repeated attempt SSP couldn’t be contacted.
