Meet Sgr man, who provides monthly food kits to dozens of poor families

Have contributed in marriages of around 100 girls irrespective of religion, creed, says Firdous Ali
A man from Srinagar has so far contributed in the marriage of over 100 girls in J&K irrespective of religion besides that he is providing food kits to dozens of deserving families on a monthly basis.

Sheikh Firdous Ali (42) son of Sheikh Gulam Mohammed a resident of Rawalpora area of Srinagar distributed foc kits besides to around one thousand families during Covid-19 lockdown.

While talking exclusively with the news agency-Kashmir News Observer (KNO), Sheikh Firdous said that his aim is to work for unity of all religions especially Muslims and to help poor people irrespective of religion.

He said during Covid-19 lock down he on his own with a little help from friends distributed at least 1000 food kits among poor families and are distributing at least 30 food kits among most deserving families.

During Covid-19 lockdown, they provided money to over 50 stranded families after which they reached home safely, he said. "Last year, after Srinagar-Jammu National Highway remained closed for several days he arranged food for hundreds of stranded passengers for several days," Ali said.

He further added that so far he has helped hundreds of accident victims and downtrodden people and my aim is just to work for unity and humanity.

He said in every time of grief or sorrow he came forward and helped people as per his capabilities. "I want to see every person who has capabilities must come forward for the help of poor people." Ali said.

"I have even contributed in marriages of around 100 poor girls including Sikh girls, pandit girls and Muslim girls," he said adding that "In 2014 floods I rescued hundreds of souls and provided them with all necessary items."

"My message to the people of Jammu and Kashmir will be to come forward and help poor people irrespective of their religion besides that I don't want self-praise.

What I have done but the objective is to inspire other people as well so that they too can help downtrodden people in odd times," Ali told KNO
