The body of a militant was recovered from a stream late last night after four days of searches in Check Kawoosa village of central Kashmir's Budgam district.
A senior police officer told news agency GNS that the body was recovered from a Nala (Waterbody) in which the militant had jumped after suffering a bullet injury in his neck during a brief gunfight on September 07.
The encounter had ensued after a joint team of police, Army’s 02 RR and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation following inputs about the presence of militants.
Since then the searches were continuing and the body was recovered late last night.
