An official told The Dark press that after a cordon and search operation of nearly eight hours, Militants opened fire on joint forces including 29 RR of Indian Army, to which the forces retaliated.
During the exchange of gunfire, one Militant, who is yet to be identified, has been killed.
The cordon and search was launched early on Thursday morning and Militants had escaped from the spot in Wanigam area of Baramulla.
As per the locals of the area, an intermittent exchange of Gunfire was going on when this report was filed.
