The Rajya Sabha on sep 20,2020 passed 'the farmers' produce trade and commerce (promotion and facilitation) bill 2020 and The farmers(empowerment and protection) agreement on price assurance and farm service bill 2020.
According to Pm Narendra Modi these laws are framed to benefit farmers...He is saying that flfarmers will now have a freedom of their produce and will be able to get better prices,MSP PROCUREMENT SYSTEM will continue,consumers will also get benefit.But (ANAA -DAATA) Farmers fear the two recent bills as they feel these agriculture reform processes will kill the government procurement process as well as the MSP.... Farmers worry that the law would lead to inadequate demand for their produce in local markets.
We can see the politics here as well....the Mahrashtra's ruling party shiv sena's Sanjay Raut says to Modi govt. That if You are saying it is in the interest of the people. Can the government assure the country that after the passing of the agriculture reform Bills, farmers' income will double and no farmer will commit suicide?..
As we can see Farmers have long felt targeted and exploited in India.Between 1995 and 2019, the National Crime Records Bureau of India reported that a total 296,438 Indian farmers had committed suicide since 1995It has been noted that in 2019, 10,281 people who work in the farming sector have committed suicide. This is largely due to rising debt levels and low income
We can see today also farmers suffer alot... they are giving there lives to save their future.We can see on every news channel how the protests are going against these bills.How they are living and spending their life in such harsh conditions of winter.Every farmer of this nation is doing protest against these bills ,So the government should look after the matter in such a way..or i can say amend these laws in such a way that it should give a sign of relief to our farmers (ANA-DATAA)who feed the whole nation ,who makes our nation our pride more proud.
