*Ramban police arrested one drug Peddler 16 kg Poppy Straw recovered.*
Acting tough against drug dealers, Ramban police arrested one drug peddler and recovered 16 Kg poppy straw. Continuing it's drive against drug peddler to eradicate the menace of drugs in society especially among youths, today on 30/03/2021, a joint Naka of SoG Ramban and police party of P/S Ramban at Shan Palace led by SHO P/S Ramban was laid, during routine vehicles checking one Tata Tiago bearing registration no HP 83-8241 coming from Anantnag to Himachal driven by person was stopped, and the driver disclosed his identity as Mohinder Singh s/o Ami Chand R/O Darang P.O Teh JawalaMukhi Distt. Kanga Himachal. Upon looking suspicious the vehicle was searched and the said contraband was recovered from rear side of the vehicle.
The weight of the contraband was found to be 16 Kg and In this connection a case FIR No 46/2021 u/s 8/15 NDPS has been registered in P/S Ramban.
The accused has been arrested and recovered contraband substance has also been seized on the spot .
Further Investigation of the case is going on.
