One Militant has been killed in the ongoing encounter between government forces and Militants in the Ghat Mohalla Kakapora area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Friday.
A Police official told that earlier 50 RR, Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF jointly launched a cordon and search operation (CASO) in the Ghat Mohalla of Kakpora in Pulwama.
During the CASO, the militants hiding in the area, opened fire, which triggered an encounter.
During the encounter, one militant has been killed whose is yet to be identified, the official said.
He said that militants turned down repeated surrender offers given to them by government forces.
Meanwhile internet services have been snapped in police district Pulwama.
