PAK Army agrees to send back 2 Gurezi boys who had crossed LOC in 2018

Noor Mohammed Wani and Firoz Ahmed Lone went missing in late November 2018 from Achoora village of Gurez tehsil. While Noor worked as a laborer in a shop at Srinagar, Firoz worked as a village-level worker at the BDO office, Gurez. Firoz went missing from his village in November 2018 and the missing report was lodged on November 22, 2018, at Markoot police station.Noor Md Wani — 20 yrs, Education — 8th standard — s/o Late Md Mustaq Wani is a resident of Achoora, Dawar. He is an orphan and worked as a labour in a shop at Srinagar. The individual went missing from Srinagar. The Individual frequently visited the house of his uncle namely Bashir Ah Wani.

FIROZ LONE

Firoz Ah Lone — 28 yrs, Graduate — s/o Ab Rahim Lone r/o Achoora, Dawar was working as a casual labour at BDO, Dawar. Individual missing from his residence since November 18, 2018. Missing report lodged at PS Dawar vide DD No 09/2018 dated November 22, 2018. Individual was in contact with Ab Rouf Ganai.

Kulsuma Bano (17 yrs) Sister, Unmarried

 
In June 2020 many media outlets reported that The arrested duo were made to address the media in blindfold, where they ‘confessed’ that they had been forced to cross over into PAK by a trooper of the Indian Territorial Army.

Police in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir claimed to have arrested “two Indian spies” in Gilgit-Baltistan Friday. According to police in PAK, the two are residents of Achoora village in the Gurez tehsil of Jammu & Kashmir’s Bandipora district.

Meanwhile elder brother of Firoz, Zahoor lone said “I used to approach senior officials of the district administration, police force but I wasn’t given a clear answer. Now that my brother has emerged in a video, I want authorities to get him back. If the TA has sent him there, they should get him back,” he added.

And now finally PAK Army has agreed to send the two boys back to their homes, meanwhile, JK Police is clearing all the documenting formalities.


 
Both the boys will join their families after almost a gap of 3 years, said an official at JKPolice Department while
