Three more areas in remote Tulail village of Gurez get mobile connectivity

Bandipora, May 08 (TDP): In a first, the residents of three more villages in Tulail area of Gurez Valley in North Kashmir's Bandipora district got access to mobile network connectivity providing much needed relief to the locals.

An official told news agency—The dark press  (TDP), that the long-awaited dreams of people of the cut-off Tulail area have come true as three villages including Sardaab, GG-Sheikh, Hussaingaim have got mobile connectivity.

“The residents of the area can now use mobile services to stay in touch with near and dear ones,” an official said.

An official said people of the three villages would now get access to voice calls and the Jio-4G network.

Local said that they are very happy to see the availability of mobile connectivity in their villages for the first time.

The locals said that without mobile connectivity, they were facing a lot of difficulties.

"We felt like we had no connection to the world and now people are feeling very happy since the mobile service has started here,” they said.

"We have more problems, but right now we are grateful to the administration for providing us with a mobile network,” the locals said.

“Now the mobile and internet connectivity by Jio would provide a much-needed relief and minimise the problems being faced by the local populace,” Khan Saleem a local said.

Pertinently, the Gurez valley which is located on the line of control witnesses’ heavy snowfall during the winter season and remains cut off from the rest of the world for more than six months due to the closure of Bandipora-Gurez road.

Earlier, the network was made operational in some areas of the Gurez valley for the past few years.
