An official speaking to The Kashmiriyat confirmed that Uzair Ahmed Dar son of Mohammed Ashraf Dar who is a resident of Melhora area in Shopian has been killed in the encounter.
Back in January, when Uzair went missing his family had filed a mising report at Zainapora Police station in Shopian under the DD number 05 dated 2 January, 2021.
Missing since January, 2021, Uzair had joined Militancy and had was categorised as a C grade Militant, the official said.
Early morning on Wednesday, the forces jointly conducted an operation in the Nowgam area of Srinagar in which Uzair was shot dead
