A motor bike rally was organised today from Dawar Helipad to Purana Tulail and back to commemorate the 22nd Kargil Vijay Diwas being celebrated on 26 Jul 21. The rally was organised in sync with the bike rally by the Northern Army Cdr from Udhampur to Srinagar.
A total of 27 riders along with 15 bikes incl ESMs, Youth and govt officials took part in the josh filled rally which was flagged off from the Dawar Helipad.
The valley resounded with the josh of bikers and roar of motorcycles carrying the fluttering National flags on them as the rally made its way through the scenic roads, markets and villages of Gurez as the Awam on the streets waved to them and many riders joined the rally enroute.
The rally reached PTL where the participants were served refreshments before they made their way back to the Dawar helipad and were flagged in followed by a Hot Halwa, snacks and tea was served to them.
The bikers and the Awam were filled with josh and pride and thanked the Army for organising such n exciting and fun filled event and assured their continual support in participating in such events in future
