In a major success against drug menace, Sopore Police on Friday claimed to have booked 28 drug peddlers in last one month.
A police spokesperson in a statement issued to the news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) said that Sopore police in continuation of war against notorious drug peddlers during the current month of June to July have arrested at least 28 drug peddlers at different checking points.
He said that 13 NDPS cases have been registered in this regard and accused involved have been behind the bars.
Station House Officer (SHO) Sopore Khalid Fayaz appealed people to come forward with any information regarding drug peddlers in their neighbourhood. “Persons found indulging in drug peddling will be dealt as per law,” he said—(KNO)
