Bandipora, October 24: Indian Army on Sunday made special arrangments to live stream the India Vs Pakistan T20 World Cup match on a bigger screen at the Log Hut Cafe in Dawar.
An official said the live streaming was organised to consolidate the pro-India sentiments of the Awam and strengthen the bond between the Awam and Jawan. Despite bad weather a total of 87 persons flocked the Cafe and enjoyed the special screening which included the locals of Gurez, tourists, Civil Administration officials, personnel of Police and the Indian Army.
"The screening of a live match is a first if its kind initiative in Gurez and especially the India Pakistan match which was highly celebrated by all. The crowd cheered and supported team India and celebrated every boundary with hooting and clapping. The exhilarating match had everyone on the edge and was testimony enough that the winds of patriotism and nationalistic fervor have blown kindly upon Gurez".
"This unique initiative was very well received by the Awam and has definitely leaped bounds in strengthening the bond between the Awam and Jawan and reinvigorating the nationalistic fervor among the Gurezis," the statment read further.
