Indian Army Conducts Culinary Workshop at Gurez on the occasion of World Food Day

The Indian Army today conducted a one day culinary workshop at Dawar in Gurez to commemorate the World Food Day which is celebrate internationally on 16 Oct every year. The workshop aimed at skilling the youth and hoteliers of the valley with various exquisite dishes such as pizza, pasta, momos and many such mouth watering dishes in order to upgrade the quality of culinary experience offered by them to the horde of tourists now flocking Gurez after various initiatives undertaken by the Army to promote tourism in Gurez.

A total of 34 individuals including chefs of various hotels and young entrepreneurs, who have recently setup home stays and trekking companies were seen participating in the workshop with zeal and enthusiasm and volunteered to cook some of the dishes along with their instructor.

This unique initiative will not only provide requisite skilling for the budding entrepreneurs and hoteliers of the Valley but will also promote food tourism in Gurez in the Long Run.
