Narcotics worth millions sized in Uri Baramulla

Baramulla: Joint Forces Sunday morning recovered 30 kgs of contraband substance and busted drug module along Line of Control (LoC) in bordering town of North Kashmir’s Uri.

SSP Baramulla said in a presser “Security forces witnessed some Suspicious movement along with LOC and it was found that some contraband substance which are most likely drugs has been dumped and the drug peddlers were observing the movement along the Indian troops and run away from there and dropped their contraband at the spot.”


 
“This has been recovered by the troops of the Indian Army and the same has been handed over to us and the legal proceedings of the matter have been initiated.”
Around 25-30 kg of contraband that has been recovered. The troops are alert and the movement of the troops is going on along the LOC,” he added.
