A police official told The Kashmiriyat that on a Monday morning the Police raided the area to arrest an over-ground worker.
“During night hours Special Operations Group raided in Khagund Dooru, which is jd Jurisdiction of SB kulgam,” the official said.
As the Police reached close to the spot, the Party was fired upon, to which the forces retaliated.
During the exchange of gunfire, one unidentified Militant was killed, while a policeman has also sustained injuries.
The official said that the search operation in the area is still on, adding, “one pistol and a grenade have been recovered from the possession of the slain Militant.”
