Two Non-Locals Shot Dead by Unknown Gunmen in Kulgam, Another Critical

Unknown gunmen shot at three non locals in the Laram Ganjipora area of the Kulgam district in South Kashmir.

Officials told The Kashmiriyat that unknown gunmen on Sunday evening opened fired upon three civilians in the Ganipora area of Kulgam causing injuries to three persons, who were identified as Non-Locals.

Two of them are said to have died on the spot, while one identified as Chun Chun Reshi Dev, a resident of Bihar was critically wounded in the firing.

He has been shifted to Government Medical College (GMC) in Anantnag for treatment. Officials at GMC Anantnag speaking to The Kashmiriyat stated his condition to be critical. 

Meanwhile the Jammu Kashmir Police tweeted, “Terrorists fired indiscriminately upon #NonLocal labourers at Wanpoh area of #Kulgam. In this #terror incident, 02 non-locals were killed and 01 injured. Police & SFs cordoned off the area. Further details shall follow.”

The attack comes amid heightened attacks against civilians in Kashmir. On october 16, two non-Locals were shot dead by unknown gunmen in the Kashmir valley.

Earlier a non-local vendor who sold Gol Gappa was shot dead in Srinagar’s Zadibal area.
