DDC tulail Aajaz raja Wednesday demanded construction of a tunnel to ensure round-the- year connectivity to Gurez.
Aajaz, who visited different snowbound villages of the constituency represented by him, said people of Gurez were facing immense hardships in the landlocked region due to absence of a tunnel.
"The people are facing lot of problems due to closure of road to Gurez during winters," he said, adding that only solution to overcome the crisis is construction of a tunnel.
He also demanded upgradation of Budugam hospital to sub-district hospital to meet the long pending demand of the people of the region.
During the visit, Raja met people in different villages from Chakawali to Burnei.
