National Safe Motherhood Day is observed every year on April 11 as a day to raise awareness about safe motherhood. The day aims to work towards providing better medical facilities. National Safe Motherhood Day 2022 marks the 19th anniversary of the day’s first observation in 2003.
Army Goodwill School Hajinar organised series of lectures on the occasion attended by more than 120 students including 55 girl students. The sarpanches of Hajinar and Tangdhar also graced the occasion with their families in attendance. Dr Waheeda from Sub Divisional Hospital, Tangdhar covered issues pertaining to health care during maternity and various government schemes in vogue associated with maternity. Further lady officer from Army highlighted the importance and role of women in society. Mrs Ruksana, teacher from AGS Hajinar covered aspects related to women in Kashmir.
