MEDICAL CAMP CUM IFTAR PARTY ORGANISED BY INDIAN ARMY AT NORTH KASHMIR's MURCHANA KARNAH


Kupwara:A medical camp cum Iftar Party was organized at village Murchana by Indian Army on 30 April for villagers of Murchana, Reala and Pathra village. The village lacks medical facilities and villagers have to travel to Teethwal for availing the same.

Medical camp had a team of two doctors to include a lady doctor. During this camp, the doctors provided basic medical health checkup, prescription and medicines to approximately 230 people to include males, females and children. The issue of general hygiene, balanced diet and preventive health care were also covered during the awareness talks by the doctors. The doctors exchanged numbers with elderly patients to provide tele consultation during emergencies.
Post medical camp a iftar was organized for all the villagers. Before Iftar, Namaz was offered marking the holy month of Ramazan. The locals were estatic on the conduct of the iftar party and appreciated the efforts put in by the Indian Army. Such events have indeed added an extra chapter in the bonhomie between the local and the Indian Army.
