Kupwara, Jun 09 : The year 2022 marKS the solemn occasion of the 23 Kargil vijay Diwas Every year on 26 July, the whole nation pays tribute to the determination and sacrifice of our brave soldiers. 'Op Vijay, or Kargil war' as most of the people know i, was Contested by our troops in a very difficult terrain where the weather & other Conditions were extremely challenging.
To commemorate the Kargil Vijay Diwas this year, a Kargil Victory Flame Has been organised by india Army along with many other events. The Victory Flame is travelling a total distance of 400 Km over a duration of 40 days, Starting from Udhampur, the location of Headquarter Northern Command. passing Vid various military establishment in Srinagar, Baramulla & Kupwara, till it reaches its final destination ie. Kargil. It is indeed a matter of privilege that today, the Kargil VIctory Flame has finally reached Keran Sector where all serving personnel & SCores ot ESM & CIVilian have gathered to welcome it.
The event organised today is just one such event being conducted by various military establishments to remember our brave troops & their families.

It needs no mention nat local populace North Kashmir, Kupwara district has always stood shoulder to shoulder with troops of of Indian Army since independence to protect the territotial integrity of the nation.
