KPL Finals Played At Galizoo Stadium Kupwara, Organised By Indian Army

Kashmir Premier League 2022 cricket tournament played on T 20 league-cum-knockout basis is underway in all of Kashmir.



     

            The tournament  was organised by Kupwara Terriers on behalf of Vajr Division and District Cricket Association Kupwara and was witnessed by Brig Sanjay Gautam, Dy GOC Vajr Div, CO Kupwara Terriers and ASP Kupwara Pardeep Singh along with officials from Army ,Cricket association and locals supporters who cheered for their heroes on ground.


Pre qualifier matches for Kupwara district had an enthusiastic participation from 16 teams from across Kupwara in which 224 players participated over a period of 10 days.


The matches were played at Galizoo cricket ground in Kupwara. The finals between Kupwara Town C and Drugmulla 11 held on 08 Jul.


The final was won by *Kupwara C* who had scored 136 and won  by 58 runs and *Man of the match* was Waqar Ahmed of Kupwara C and *Man of series* was Asrar Ahmed of Kupwara C who took 12 wickets and  scored 40 runs . Kupwara B received the 'Fair play award' for the tournament.


The final team that will represent Kupwara in League matches to be held in Srinagar will be selected by *Abid Salam, Ex Ranji player* from Baramulla.
