Stunt Biking a threat to commuters, Crackdown should be started against them unless strict punishment is given to such bikers nothing will change: Maroof Khan.

 

Srinagar, 27 March : Maroof Khan  Social Activist  and National Media Panelist while speaking with media on Stunt biking issue said that these biker continues to pose threat to the commuters and pedestrians in the summer capital. He said that in the absence of traffic police, these people are openly risking everyone’s lives. Unless strict action is taken against these people, this issue won’t be resolved.

Khan Said the parents of such youngsters must be very irresponsible who allow their wards to do such dangerous stunts. Some of them are even minors who are risking the lives of people on roads.
 
However police has always been very active in dealing these cases. But these stunt biking on the roads at Rajbagh, Parraypora area, Nishat, Foreshore road, Hazratbal continue to pose life threat to people. Many latest videos have emerged showing youngsters performing stunts on two-wheelers on the busy roads of Foreshore near Hazratbal. Netizens while reacting to such videos expressed their dismay over the stunt biking.

Adding to it he also expressed concern over car racing on roads. In a recent video, two cars were seen resorting to street racing on a busy Rajbagh road, resulting in a collision between the vehicles earlier. 

He said that pedestrians and law-abiding commuters had narrow escape many times due to such stunt bikers. They said that strict action should be taken against such people.

Khan appealed to law enforcement agencies to crackdown on such youth involved in stunt biking in Srinagar. He said that the menace is creating hindrance in the commute of people and risking countless lives.
Khan said that Officers of Traffic Police City are very competent and under there supervision and control the traffic department is continuously cracking down on the stunk bikers.

“However the police often track down these bikes and call them so that necessary action can follow. These stunts bikers are confined to places where deployment is low. Khan said that We need to do counseling to these youngsters on the issue,” Khan said.
