Akanksha Dubey suicide case: Bhojpuri singer Samar Singh sent to 14-day judicial custody

Samar Singh was recently arrested in connection with the Akanksha Dubey suicide case. In the latest development, he has been sent to judicial custody for 14 days. Akanksha, a Bhojpuri actress, ended her life in a hotel room in Varanasi on March 26. She was there for the shoot of her film, Laik Hoon Main Nalaik Nahin. 
No suicide note was found following her death. Samar Singh and Sanjay Singh were the main accused in the case. Samar was eventually arrested in Ghaziabad.

SAMAR SINGH SENT TO JUDICIAL CUSTODY 
Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey was found dead in her hotel room in Varanasi last month. Following this, the police arrested Samar Singh in connection with the case. He was presented before a court in Varanasi today, April 8, and sent in judicial custody for 14 days. Advocate Shashank Shekhar Tripathi said that Samar had presented a bail application, which they opposed.

Bhojpuri actress Akanksha Dubey was in Varanasi for the shoot of an upcoming project. Post-filming, the actress headed to the Sarnath Hotel there. She was found dead in her hotel room.

Hours before the actress allegedly died by suicide, she reportedly went live on IG. Akanksha cried inconsolably during the Instagram live and was seen having a breakdown. The reason behind her emotional breakdown is unknown. The actress died by suicide a few hours after her music video with Pawan Singh was released officially. Videos of her crying during the IG live have surfaced on social media.

As per a report in AajTak, the actress suffered from depression in 2018 and had taken a professional break. She made a comeback only a few years back. After her return, she mentioned that her mom helped her during the dark phase of her life. Akanksha was quite popular in Bhojpuri cinema. She made her debut at the age of 17 with a film titled Meri Jung Mera Faisla.
