Continuing its efforts to discourage the trade and transportation of illicit liquor, Police on Friday arrestd a bootlegger & recovered 12 bottles of liquor from his possession in Central Kashmir's Budgam district.
A Police spokesperson said, "During naka checking at Humhama, police party of police post Humhama intercepted one person roaming in suspicious conditions. During his personal search, police recovered 12 Bottles of Liquor from his possession. He has been arrested on spot and subsequently identified as Mohammad Ashraf Khan S/O Kaiser Khan R/O Alosa Bandipora."
He said that case FIR number 83/2023 under relevant sections of law has been registered at Police Station Budgam and investigation taken up.
