Gulmarg Gondola tickets available online only: Avoid falling into traps of touts’ , warns MD of J&K Cable Car Corporation

The MD J&K Cable Car Corporation has issued a warning to tourists to beware of touts selling tickets for the Gulmarg Gondola project.
In an official communication, authorities emphasized that tickets for the popular Gulmarg Gondola are only available for purchase through the official website, www.jammukashmircablecar.com.

According to the Cable Car Corporation, some tourists have fallen prey to the false advertising and black-market ticket sales by miscreants and touts.
An official of Cable Car Corporation Gulmarg reiterated that the online ticketing system for the Gulmarg Gondola is transparent, and there is no question of black-marketing of tickets.
The Corporation advises tourists to be cautious and not to purchase tickets from anyone other than the official website.
"Tourists should remain vigilant and not risk their safety and enjoyment of the attraction by purchasing tickets through illegal means," officials said.
The authorities also recommended that intending visitors plan their Gondola ride based on the availability of tickets on the official website.
The Gulmarg Gondola project is a popular attraction among tourists and locals alike. The two-stage ropeway, the first of its kind in Asia, carries visitors from the valley floor in Gulmarg to a height of 13,780 feet above sea level.
The scenic ride offers stunning views of the surrounding mountains and valleys.
The official communication came after a tourist guide was arrested by the Baramulla Police for selling fake gondola tickets to two tourists in Gulmarg.
A police official said that the manager of the Gulmarg Gondola Project lodged a complaint with the Gulmarg Police Station after the ticket checker caught the two tourists with the fake tickets.
According to the complaint, the tourists revealed that they had purchased the tickets from a tourist guide named Aashiq Hussain Magray for Rs. 2500 per ticket.
