Handwara,03 April 2023:Continuing its efforts against drug peddling, Handwara Police arrested two peddlers and recovered narcotics in Vilgam and Kralgund areas.
Today on April 03, 2023, a police party of Police Station Vilgam, while on naka duty at Manzgam, apprehended one person who had attempted to avoid the police party in a suspicious manner.
On search, around 20 grams of Brown Sugar like substance was recovered from his possession. The person has been identified as Nisar Ahmad Lone S/o Bashir Ahmed Lone R/o Chowkibal Kupwara.
In relation to this, FIR No.29/2023 U/S 8/21 NDPS Act registered in PS Vilgam and investigation initiated.
Furthermore, a police party of PS Kralgund while on patrolling at Badrah crossing on Baramulla-Handwara national highway, apprehended one person who had attempted to avoid the police party in a suspicious manner.
On search, around 32 gm of Charas like substance was recovered from his possession. The person has been identified as Umar Reyaz Bhat S/o Reyaz Ah Bhat R/O Kralgund.
Based on this, FIR No. 30/2023 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act* has been registered at PS Kralgund and investigation has been initiated.
