Youth Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Conference(YJKPC) president, Mudasir Karim, expressed his deep shock and dismay over the recent incident of a youth being stabbed in Nowhatta, Srinagar. The rise in such violent incidents in Kashmir is truly disheartening, considering the region’s rich cultural heritage that was once synonymous with peace and spirituality. These acts of violence not only endanger lives but also tarnish the essence of our cultural identity.
Mudasir said that In light of these distressing events, it becomes crucial for the administration, civil society, and awkaaf bodies to unite and address the underlying issues that contribute to such alarming incidents. By coming together and taking collective action, we can work towards restoring harmony and peace in Kashmir. This requires a comprehensive approach, focusing not only on the immediate response to these incidents but also on tackling the root causes that fuel them.
Furthermore,To restore the lost glory of our cultural heritage, it is essential to promote values of tolerance, inclusivity, and peaceful coexistence among the youth. Education and awareness programs should be initiated to instill these values from an early age. Additionally, efforts must be made to provide constructive avenues for the youth to engage in productive activities and channel their energy positively. By investing in the holistic development of our young generation, we can foster a society where acts of violence become a thing of the past.
“The recent stabbing incident serves as a wake-up call for all stakeholders in Kashmir. It is a reminder that we must come together and work tirelessly to reclaim the essence of our cultural identity. By addressing the root causes, promoting peace, and providing opportunities for the youth, we can build a future where our rich heritage thrives in an environment of harmony and tranquility. Let us take a collective stand against violence and strive towards a brighter and safer Kashmir for generations to come”,said mudasir kari
