“JKPC Senior Leader Pays Tribute to Martyrs, Welcomes Mainstream Politics, and Sheds Light on the Plight of Neglected Communities in Kashmir”

In a powerful and emotionally charged press conference, Abid Hussain Ansari, the senior leader of the Jammu and Kashmir People’s Conference (JKPC) and General Secretary of the All Jammu and Kashmir Shia Association, paid heartfelt tributes to the brave martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the Kokernag encounter. Ansari’s speech was a poignant reminder of the ongoing challenges faced by the people of Jammu and Kashmir due to terrorism, as well as a call for unity.

Abid Hussain ansari Extends a cautious welcome to the Hurriyat’s transition into mainstream politics, he raises poignant questions about the accountability for the decades of turmoil and suffering in the region. For nearly 35 years, the Hurriyat leadership played a significant role in guiding the course of Kashmir’s struggle, during which time countless lives were lost, many were left maimed by pellets, and numerous innocent individuals found themselves behind bars. Ansari’s query resonates with the collective anguish of Kashmir’s people, echoing their demand for justice and answers regarding the brutalities endured. It calls for a comprehensive examination of the past and a sincere commitment to a better, more peaceful future for the region.

With unwavering determination, Abid Hussain Ansari expressed his concerns about the long-standing suffering endured by the residents of Jammu and Kashmir at the hands of terrorists. He underscored the fact that while some leaders of the region had previously distanced themselves during the peak of militancy, they now sought to become prominent figures in mainstream politics. Ansari, in contrast, emphasized that his organization, founded in 1932, has consistently stood by India, despite facing hardships and marginalization.

Ansari also shed light on the harrowing situation in the Gund Khawaja Qasim area of Baramulla, where individuals like Hakeem, Ghulam Hassan, Manzoor Ahmad, and others were brutally killed. These tragic events occurred in an area that has steadfastly supported India but continues to be overlooked by the administration. Ansari expressed his frustration over the administration’s failure to permit religious activities, such as the observance of the 28th Safar death anniversary of Prophet Muhammad(saww)& Imam Hassan (a.s) , and cited the presence of divisive elements attempting to disrupt their community’s unity.

He raised concerns about the lack of action by authorities regarding a gruesome stabbing incident, which occurred two years ago in the same area. Ansari attributed this inaction to the influence of a group that seeks to torment and defame their community. He called upon the media to visit Pattan and investigate the activities of the “Hizbul Momineen,” a group of criminals responsible for inflicting immense suffering on the local population.

Abid Hussain Ansari’s appreciation for the administration’s decision to permit the 8th Muharram procession reflects a commitment to religious expression and tradition. However, his concern regarding the limitations imposed on observing the 28th Safar In Gund Khawaja Qasim underscores a poignant issue. It's perplexing that a small area, where people wish to commemorate this significant occasion, faces hurdles due to external influences and group dynamics. Ansari’s words emphasize the need for a more inclusive approach to religious observances, one that ensures that all communities can practice their faith peacefully and without unnecessary constraints.

Abid Hussain Ansari’s press conference was a poignant reminder of the resilience and unwavering commitment of certain leaders and communities in Jammu and Kashmir to stand by India and promote unity in the face of adversity. His call for attention to the neglected regions and concerns over the influence of divisive elements serve as a plea for action and justice in a region that has long yearned for peace and development. He Painted a vivid picture of the complex challenges facing Kashmir. His call for unity, remembrance of martyrs, and advocacy for peaceful political engagement stands as a significant moment in the ongoing discourse on the region’s future.
