Former Deputy Mayor Sheikh Mohammad Imran Criticizes KCCI for Avoiding Direct Criticism of Government

"Imran Accuses KCCI of Moral Hypocrisy, Blaming Administration Instead of Addressing Root Causes of Issues".

In a scathing tweet, former Deputy Mayor Sheikh Mohammad Imran has called out the Kashmir Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) for failing to directly criticize the government and its leadership. Imran accused the trade body of taking the “easy route” by blaming local administration and district officials, instead of holding the government, including the Chief Minister, ministers, and MLAs, accountable for the region’s issues.

"Why does KCCI shy away from slamming the government directly?" Imran questioned, adding that their "selective outrage" reflected a form of “moral gymnastics” designed to criticize without facing consequences. He further suggested that KCCI might be more concerned with protecting personal favors than advocating for real change.

Imran’s harsh words accused the KCCI of undermining its role as the apex trade body, implying that their failure to call out the root causes of Kashmir's economic struggles was a betrayal of their responsibility. "Shame on you," he concluded, in a clear denunciation of the trade body's stance.
