Jammu & Kashmir is set to experience two significant Western Disturbances starting January 1st evening, according to the Director of Meteorology. Light snowfall is anticipated on January 1st and 2nd, with moderate to heavy snowfall likely from January 3rd to 6th. The higher reaches are expected to bear the brunt on January 4th and 5th, potentially causing disruptions in daily life and travel.

MLA Karnah has issued an advisory to the people of the Karnah Subdivision, especially patients and students traveling to appear in examinations across the valley, to plan their journeys accordingly. He highlighted that heavy snowfall around Sadhana Pass could severely impact vehicular movement. Travelers are urged to stay updated with weather forecasts and exercise caution to avoid being stranded.
