"Push for Village Development Gains Momentum as MLA Highlights Need for BADP Adoption".
In a significant development for the 01-Karnah Assembly Constituency, MLA Javid Ahmed Mirchal has brought to the forefront the need to adopt ten villages under the Border Area Development Programme (BADP) to transform them into model villages. In a formal submission to the Secretary of the Planning and Monitoring Department, Mirchal emphasized the adoption of Suleman, Tangdar, Sharthapalla, Nowpora, Dildar, Sudhpora, Panjtaran, Teethwal, Lountha, and Batpora, outlining their potential for comprehensive development under BADP.
Mirchal underscored the challenges faced by these villages, including limited infrastructure, inadequate public services, and a lack of sustainable livelihoods. He proposed a vision for their holistic development, encompassing education, healthcare, roads, and employment opportunities, to ensure equitable progress for the border constituency.
The intervention by the Secretary has sparked optimism among local residents, who see this as a critical step toward bridging regional disparities. If approved, this initiative would mark a turning point for the Karnah constituency, paving the way for inclusive and sustainable development in these marginalized areas.
