"Transporting Students Through Snow-Covered Roads to Srinagar Is an Unnecessary Struggle, Says PRO to MP Baramulla; Appeals to University of Kashmir and J&K Authorities to Act Swiftly".
In a powerful statement advocating for student welfare, Awami Itihad Party’s Chief Spokesperson and PRO to MP Baramulla, Er. Rasheed, Inam Un Nabi, has raised concerns over the logistical and emotional toll on students in Kupwara. With exams scheduled at the University of Kashmir in Srinagar, students are forced to brave snow-laden roads and long traffic jams, making an already stressful time even more challenging.
“Transporting students through snow-covered roads and endless jams to Srinagar for exams is a test in itself,” Inam Un Nabi remarked, emphasizing the urgent need for localized exam centers in Kupwara, particularly during the harsh winter season.
He further appealed to the University of Kashmir to reconsider its current approach, stating, “Let’s bring education closer, not make it an endurance challenge. Kupwara deserves exam centers.” Highlighting the pressing nature of the issue, he urged the Jammu & Kashmir Grievance Cell (@JKgrievance) to register this complaint and address it promptly in the interest of the student community.
The call for change has sparked widespread support on social media, with many lauding Inam Un Nabi’s commitment to addressing the struggles of students in remote areas. This plea comes as a reminder that education should empower students, not burden them with unnecessary hurdles. As winter deepens, all eyes are now on the University of Kashmir and J&K authorities to provide a timely and compassionate resolution.
