Drawing a parallel to the Prime Minister’s recent acknowledgment of Manipur’s Statehood Day, Sheikh Khursheed emphasized the importance of equal respect for all regions within the Union.

The MLA took to Twitter, quoting PM Modi’s tweet praising Manipur’s contribution to India’s development. “Hope @narendramodi ji greets people of J&K soon,” wrote Sheikh Khursheed, underscoring the growing sentiment among Jammu and Kashmir residents for parity in recognition and respect.

Speaking to The Kashmir Graph, Sheikh Khursheed highlighted the emotional and political significance of the demand. “The people of J&K deserve the same recognition and respect as other states in the Union.
