The incident came to light when a 9th-standard student was found possessing a DOB certificate issued in 2024, despite the issuing officer, the then-BDO, having been transferred in 2023.
SDM Karnah, Zaffar Lone, swiftly intervened after the anomaly was discovered. Investigations revealed that the fraudulent certificate was likely generated at a local computer shop owned by Amjid.
