"JKNC Chief Farooq Abdullah Rejects Confrontation, Defends Omar Abdullah Amid Allegations of Bias,Urges Unity; No Progress Without Centre-State Cooperation".
National Conference (NC) President Dr. Farooq Abdullah on Thursday emphasized the importance of cooperation between the Centre and the Jammu and Kashmir government, warning against conflicts that could hinder regional development. Responding to allegations by NC MP Aga Rahullah, who accused Omar Abdullah of being a “Centre’s man,” Farooq dismissed the claim, asserting that Omar remains a leader of the people.
“Omar Abdullah is not acting on anyone’s directives. We cannot afford a confrontational approach with the Centre. Development in education, healthcare, and infrastructure depends on collaboration,” he stated.
Farooq Abdullah also addressed the controversy involving a BSF commandant linked to a paper scam, clarifying that the individual would not join the NC without a clean record. “We stand firm on principles,” he added.
