J&K PDP Spokesperson Aditya Gupta Slams BJP's 'Political Stunt' on Reservation Policy

"Criticizes BJP's move to grant reservations to Pahari ethnic groups, calling it irrational and driven by electoral gains".

In a scathing critique, Jammu and Kashmir PDP spokesperson Aditya Gupta has accused the BJP of using the reservation policy for the Pahari ethnic group as a "political stunt" aimed at electoral gains rather than addressing the community's actual needs. Gupta argued that the reservation lacked proportionality and rationality, alleging that the BJP prioritized short-term political benefits over fairness and justice.

“This is not about community welfare; it's a blatant move to appease voters,” Gupta said, adding that the BJP’s actions undermine the credibility of reservation policies. He further accused both the PDP and National Conference (NC) of leveraging the issue for their own electoral gains, leaving the public's welfare as an afterthought.

Gupta called for a more equitable approach, urging proportional representation in reservation policies to ensure fairness across all communities. His statement has sparked a fresh debate on the political motives behind reservation policies in J&K.
