"Public urged to cooperate in identifying Saifullah, Farman, Adil, and Basha; authorities assure confidentiality for informants".
In a bold move to curb rising militancy, the Jammu and Kashmir Police have released photographs of four active terrorists believed to be operating in the Kishtwar district. The suspects, identified as Saifullah, Farman, Adil, and an individual thought to be Basha, are being actively pursued as part of ongoing efforts to restore peace in the region.
To expedite their apprehension, the police have announced a reward of ₹5 lakh for credible information leading to the capture of each of these individuals. A multilingual poster in Urdu and English has been circulated, urging citizens to share any details that may assist authorities in their mission. The police have assured the public that the identity of informants will remain strictly confidential.
This initiative comes amid heightened security concerns following last year’s terror attacks in Kishtwar and surrounding areas. According to intelligence inputs, Pakistan-based handlers are allegedly attempting to destabilize peaceful zones in the Jammu region.
Superintendent of Police, Kishtwar, appealed to residents to act in the interest of public safety and national security. “We urge everyone to remain vigilant and report suspicious activity. Citizens can contact us directly at 9906154100 or 01995-259353. Together, we can combat this threat.”
The campaign to counter terrorism reflects the administration’s commitment to eliminating militancy in the region and maintaining harmony. Local authorities are hopeful that public cooperation will play a critical role in bringing these perpetrators to justice.
