"Tehsildar Karnah Leads Verification Effort with Multidisciplinary Team to Streamline Welfare Distribution in Kupwara District"
Karnah, Jammu and Kashmir – In a significant move to ensure transparency and efficiency in the Public Distribution System (PDS), the Office of the Tehsildar Karnah has commenced the verification of beneficiaries enrolled in the PDS database across Tehsil Karnah, District Kupwara.
Acting on the directives of the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, a specialized team has been constituted to oversee the verification process. The team includes a Patwari, Store Keeper, BLO, Panchayat Secretary (VLW), Aanganwadi Worker, and Lumberdar, this team will verify beneficiary details to ensure only eligible individuals are included in the database.
This initiative aims to uphold accountability by aligning with the terms set by the administration, ensuring the benefits reach the rightful recipients. The verification team has been directed to submit daily progress reports to the Tehsildar's office for review and escalation.
The Tehsildar Karnah has also issued formal communication to stakeholders, including the Deputy Commissioner Kupwara, Sub-Divisional Magistrate Karnah, and other administrative heads, emphasizing compliance and support for the drive.
This move is expected to strengthen the integrity of welfare schemes, ensuring the PDS serves its intended purpose efficiently and fairly.
