Karnah Unites to Reclaim Its Pride: Youth-Led Campaign Fights Drug Menace

Karnah, a tehsil known for its valor and cultural richness, has long stood as a beacon of unity and patriotism. Yet, in recent times, an insidious challenge has emerged—the growing menace of drug addiction. This silent enemy has begun to erode the moral fabric of the community, leaving behind shattered lives and broken dreams. But the resilient spirit of Karnah refuses to bow down.

In a defining moment of solidarity, the Youth of Karnah of Various age groups launched a groundbreaking social media campaign to combat the drug crisis. Coinciding with the visit of the General Officer Commanding (GOC) to Tithwal on January 13, the initiative aimed to inspire the youth to rise against the narcotics threat, not just for themselves but for the generations to come.

Eighty students from across the region answered the call, each pouring their heart and soul into creating compelling content that highlighted the pain of addiction and the hope for a drug-free future. Their message, simple yet profound, echoed through every post: “Drugs have no place in our Karnah. Together, we can reclaim our heritage and restore the pride that defines us.”

The campaign rapidly gained momentum, transforming into a digital wave of resistance. Heart-wrenching videos of children pleading with elders, poignant poems on the agony of addiction, and uplifting messages of hope flooded social media, reaching over 1.5 lakh views. The overwhelming response underscored the collective determination of the people of Karnah to protect their homeland from this scourge.

On Republic Day, the movement culminated in a grand felicitation ceremony, Azmat-e-Hind, to honor the courageous students who spearheaded this transformative campaign. Their efforts reignited the spirit of unity and resilience that has always been the hallmark of Karnah.

As the ceremony concluded, the young torchbearers stood united, their hearts brimming with hope and purpose. The campaign not only sparked critical conversations but also rekindled the essence of solidarity that defines this proud community. Karnah has once again proven that its strength lies in its unity—and that no challenge, no matter how daunting, can weaken the resolve of its people.
