"Allegations of favoritism and malpractice rock the JKSSB as Parra questions how low-scoring candidates in one exam emerge as toppers in another".
Srinagar: Waheed Ur Rehman Parra, prominent youth leader of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), has raised serious concerns over the integrity of the Jammu and Kashmir Services Selection Board (JKSSB) following yet another alleged scam in the recruitment process. This time, the controversy revolves around the constable (telecom) examination, which has drawn widespread criticism for what many believe is blatant favoritism and manipulation.

In a scathing statement, Parra said, “The way candidates scoring below 10 marks in one exam are topping another is shocking. It singularly points towards the continued murder of merit.” His remarks come in the wake of growing public outcry over what appears to be a rigged process that undermines fair competition and transparency.

The allegations have sparked fresh debates on the credibility of JKSSB, which has been under scrutiny in recent years for various irregularities. Parra emphasized that such incidents not only rob deserving candidates of opportunities but also shatter the trust of the youth in the system.

“This isn’t just about one exam or one department; it’s about the future of an entire generation that is being denied its rightful place through corrupt practices. We cannot remain silent while merit is trampled upon,” Parra added.

The PDP leader has called for a high-level inquiry into the matter and urged the Lieutenant Governor’s administration to take strict action against those responsible for the alleged scam. Parra’s statement has further fueled demands for an overhaul of the recruitment process to ensure fairness and accountability.

As voices of dissent grow louder, the JKSSB faces mounting pressure to come clean on the allegations. For now, the youth of Jammu and Kashmir wait anxiously, hoping for a day when merit will truly be the yardstick for success.
