"Army Day 2025 Shines a Spotlight on Tithwal as Raksha Mantri Commits to Honoring its Rich Military and Cultural Heritage"

The serene border village of Tithwal, steeped in military and cultural history, basked in the national spotlight during the Army Day 2025 celebrations in Pune. Among the event's highlights was a powerful moment when Ms. Sadiya, a Class XI student from Army Goodwill School (AGS) Hajinar, passionately represented her village’s legacy. Speaking via video conference from the Azmat-e-Hind Memorial in Tithwal, Ms. Sadiya extended a heartfelt invitation to Hon’ble Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh, urging him and fellow citizens to visit the iconic destination.

Her words carried the pride of Tithwal’s historic contributions, capturing the audience’s attention. Touched by her sincerity, Raksha Mantri Shri Rajnath Singh expressed admiration for the village and pledged to visit soon, igniting hope and excitement among its residents.

The event also marked the launch of the Battlefield Tourism Portal, with Tithwal featured as one of eight destinations showcasing India’s military history. This initiative aims to increase awareness and tourism in historically significant yet lesser-known locations, positioning Tithwal as a premier destination in the burgeoning battlefield tourism sector.

Ms. Sadiya, now celebrated as a young ambassador of Tithwal’s heritage, impressed dignitaries and attendees alike with her poise and passion. Her role was further recognized by Brig S. K. Pradhan, VSM, Commander of the Shakti Vijay Brigade, who personally commended her efforts, describing her as a beacon of Tithwal’s potential and promise.

The Army Day 2025 celebrations served as a reminder of the invaluable contributions of India’s border villages. Tithwal’s moment in the spotlight, paired with the Raksha Mantri’s commitment, underscored its pivotal place in preserving and promoting India’s proud military legacy.
