"12 Lives Lost, Including Children, as Leaders Demand Urgent Action and Accountability"
Rajouri's Badhaal village is reeling under the weight of a tragic outbreak of a mysterious disease that has claimed 12 lives, including children, with no answers from the authorities. The Awami Ittihad Party (AIP) has strongly condemned the administration's casual approach, calling it a failure of governance and an insult to the affected families.
AIP Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi expressed deep anguish, stating, “The loss of 12 innocent lives due to a mysterious disease reflects the absolute failure of governance. Despite the crisis, the administration remains unable to identify the cause or prevent further fatalities. This neglect betrays the trust of the people."
Inam also criticized former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, saying, “It’s appalling that Omar Abdullah finds time to ski in Gulmarg but cannot visit Rajouri to console grieving families. This shows how disconnected mainstream politicians are from ground realities.”
The AIP has urged Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to take personal charge of the situation. Inam called for immediate intervention, expert medical deployment, and a transparent investigation. “The families deserve answers, relief, and compensation. The administration must act swiftly to ensure health security,” he added.
Adding to the public outrage, Senior AIP Leader Sheikh Khursheed Ahmad tweeted, “Another child lost life in Kotranka, taking the toll to 13. My heart goes out to the families. Hope there’s still some fuel in choppers to reach Rajouri and address this MYSTERIOUS tragedy.”
The people of Rajouri are demanding accountability, and the AIP has vowed to keep pressing for action. The ball is now in the administration's court to address this escalating crisis.
