AIP Condemns Unjust Sacking of J&K Government Employees, MLA Langate Sheikh Khursheed Urges LG to Uphold PM Modi’s Commitments

Srinagar, February 15: Awami Itehaad Party (AIP) Senior Leader and MLA Langate Sheikh Khursheed has strongly condemned the termination of three government employees in Jammu and Kashmir, calling it a grave injustice and a violation of natural justice.

Sheikh Khursheed questioned the government’s selective approach, stating: "Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji says ‘Nation is one, Law is one,’ but then why are government employees in Jammu and Kashmir being arbitrarily dismissed without even being given a chance to defend themselves? Why are we being treated differently? This discrimination must end."

He urged Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to adhere to the commitments of PM Modi and ensure that people in J&K are not let down. Sheikh Khursheed emphasized that arbitrary dismissals undermine faith in the system and create an atmosphere of uncertainty among government employees.

MLA Langate Sheikh Khursheed has officially submitted a resolution in the Assembly on this grave issue.

Sheikh Khursheed called upon the LG administration to take urgent steps to rectify this injustice and ensure that employees are not victimized without due process. He also criticized the silence of major political parties, stating:
"Where are those who once promised to protect the rights of the people of Jammu and Kashmir? Their silence is deafening and their failure to stand up against this injustice is shameful."

He directly challenged former Chief Minister Omar Abdullah, stating: "If Omar Abdullah is sincere about the rights of the people, then he and his party must support this resolution in the Assembly. Otherwise, their silence will expose their hypocrisy and failure to stand with the people in times of crisis."
