Celebrations Erupt in J&K’s Baramulla as India Defeats Pakistan in ICC Champions Trophy
(JKNS):Celebrations erupted in Jammu and Kashmir's Baramulla after Team India secured a thrilling victory against arch-rival Pakistan in the ICC Champions Trophy at Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Reports reaching news agency JKNS said that youth were seen celebrating Team India’s win, while firecrackers lit up the skies, adding to the festive atmosphere.
Similar reports of celebrations also emerged from different parts of the Kashmir Valley and Jammu.
In Jammu, people were seen distributing sweets and bursting firecrackers to mark the occasion, reports said.
Pakistan set a target of 241 runs before getting all out, while India successfully chased the score, with Virat Kohli delivering an outstanding unbeaten century (102*). His remarkable innings led India to victory, sparking jubilation among cricket fans.
The celebrations in Kashmir are being seen as a historic moment, marking the first time such widespread enthusiasm has been witnessed over Team India’s triumph in an international match. (JKNS)
