Drug Peddler Arrested in Srinagar, 910 Grams of Contraband Seized

Srinagar,Feb 25 (SNO):Srinagar Police, in coordination with the CKR office, have arrested a drug peddler and recovered a significant quantity of contraband from his possession.

During a surprise checkpoint at Narbal Sozieth Bund, a police team led by the SHO of Police Station Shalteng intercepted a vehicle with registration number CH01M-9496. The driver attempted to flee but was swiftly apprehended. A search of the vehicle led to the recovery of 910 grams of a heroin-like substance.

According to the News Agency—Srinagar News Observer (SNO) The accused has been identified as Ishtiaq Ahmed Khowaja, a resident of Dildar Karnah Kupwara. He was taken into custody on the spot, and the vehicle used in the crime was seized. A case has been registered under the relevant sections of the NDPS Act at Police Station Shalteng, and further investigation is underway.
