Er Rashid Ends 11-Day Hunger Strike After Delhi High Court Grants Custody Parole:Inam Un Nabi

New Delhi/Srinagar, February 10: Awami Ittihaad Party (AIP) Chief Spokesperson Inam Un Nabi announced on Monday that party chief and incarcerated Member of Parliament, Er Rashid, has ended his hunger strike after 11 days. The decision follows a crucial ruling by the Delhi High Court, granting him two-day custody parole on February 11 and February 13.

Welcoming the court’s decision, Inam Un Nabi extended heartfelt gratitude to the people of the Baramulla Parliamentary Constituency and Jammu & Kashmir at large for their unwavering support. He also acknowledged the solidarity shown by political and religious leaders, civil society members, trade unions, and human rights activists who stood by Er Rashid in his struggle for justice.

Legal Team Applauded for Tireless Efforts

Inam Un Nabi expressed deep appreciation for the legal team that played a pivotal role in securing this breakthrough. He specifically named Senior Advocate H. Hariharan, along with legal experts Vikhyat Oberoi, Aditya Wadhwa, Nishita Gupta, Shivam Prakash, Ravi Sharma, Jagriti Pandey, Punya Rekha Angara, Vasundhara, Sana Singh, Aman Akhtar, Vinayak Gautam, and Hasain Khwaja, for their dedicated efforts in the pursuit of justice for Er Rashid.

Despite his prolonged hunger strike and continued incarceration, Er Rashid remains steadfast in his commitment to representing the sentiments and aspirations of the people of Jammu and Kashmir. “His dedication to the cause remains unshaken. AIP will continue its fight for justice and democracy,” said Inam Un Nabi, reinforcing the party’s determination to uphold democratic rights.
