Authorities Warn of Avalanche Risk Above 2400 Meters; Residents Urged to Stay Vigilant
Kashmir,27 Feb(TKG) | Authorities have issued a high avalanche danger warning for the higher reaches of Bandipora and Kupwara, cautioning that an avalanche is likely to occur above 2400 meters in the next 24 hours.
The Jammu and Kashmir Disaster Management Authority (JKDMA) has urged residents, especially those living in vulnerable areas, to avoid unnecessary movement and take precautionary measures. Travelers and shepherds are advised to refrain from venturing into the high-altitude regions.
In case of any emergency, people are advised to immediately dial 112 for assistance. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation and have asked local disaster response teams to stay on high alert.
