Judicial Officers Appointed to Key Positions in J&K and Ladakh High Court


The High Court of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh has issued an order for the appointment and posting of judicial officers to important administrative positions. The decision, approved by the Hon’ble Chief Justice, aims to strengthen the functioning of the judiciary in the region.

According to the News Agency—Srinagar News Observer (SNO) As per the order, District Judge Rajiv Gupta has been appointed as Registrar Vigilance at the High Court of J&K and Ladakh. Khursheed Ul Islam, also a District Judge, will take charge as Registrar Judicial at the High Court’s Srinagar Wing. Additionally, District Judge Khem Raj has been designated as Registrar Rules at the High Court of J&K and Ladakh. In the Civil Judges (Senior Division) category, Jahangir Ahmad Bakshi has been posted as Joint Registrar (Judicial/Protocol) in Srinagar.

The appointments have been made under High Court Order No. 292 of 2025/RG, in compliance with a previous order (No. 252 of 2025/RG) issued on February 20, 2025. The order was formally issued by Registrar General Shahzad Azeem and has been forwarded to relevant judicial and government authorities for necessary action.

These postings are expected to enhance judicial administration and efficiency within the Union Territories of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. The order has also been made available on the High Court’s official website for public reference.—(SNO)
